My oldest is now a high school graduate. What an accomplishment! I have homeschooled her from third grade on and I am happy to say I survived it all.

I began the school year wanting to throw a party to celebrate at the end. As usual, life got in the way. It happens. Finally toward mid-May and I said we MUST do this and we MUST have senior photos done so we can send out announcements. In one month we got photos done and a party planned. Wow!

I'm not much of a party person, I'm a "blow up a few balloons, bake some cupcake and invite some friends over" kind of mom, but I wanted this to be different. Having three kids with birthdays in May, June and July, we had to celebrate that as well. So, I had this great idea to do a joint graduation/birthday party. It so happens the graduate's birthday was one that was celebrated.

I set up one table decorated in teal and purple, her chosen "school' colors and another set up with a Minecraft theme for the other two children. Did you know there are NO Minecraft party decorations to be found? I had to make everything. In three weeks. But, I did it and it was fun.

Everything turned out wonderfully. I think everyone had a great time, my decorations and food were all just about perfect. In three years we can do it again when #2 graduates LOL

I'm going to share photos soon, my recipes and my decoration ideas. Hopefully I can get some of the party pics in the next week, what's a blog post without photos right?!
